Arts workshops for schools

Nugent Education has successfully delivered indoor arts workshops for hundreds of schools. For both primary and secondary and special schools they offer curriculum enhancing educational arts workshops and after school activities (kids extracurricular). The workshops we deliver in schools are bespoke and can be delivered across the Key Stages (ks1, ks2, ks3, ks4 & ks5) and to children with behavioural problems and disabilities or Gifted and Talented pupils and so on. The 5 RÂ’s of learning (readiness, resourcefulness, resilience, responsibility and reflectiveness), PHSE citizenship, transition, multiculturalism and other important theories and concepts can be embodies within a given workshop or programme.

They provide artists to deliver workshops for childrenÂ’s charities and youth organisations and eventÂ’s organisers. For small children this has included many crafts like Japanese origami, mask making, Kite making and more. Children often choose which crafts activity they want to try with their friends.

There are some fantastic options for older children and teenagers. For girls this may include street dancing or makeup, hair and beauty (makeovers)! For boys, rapping and Dj-ing (scratch DJ skills taught whilst playing music).

Their most popular teenagersÂ’ activity has been decorating childrenÂ’s bedrooms, a play area or outside shed (etc). Areas are decorated in graffiti style (or urban street or cartoon or fairytale style) with a theme children choose or even design.
