hip hop rapping or MCing workshopThis workshop activity is strongly recommended by us! Schools and youth organisations, events companies and charities book rapping workshops continually. Hip hop rapping workshops are our most popular workshops. This lively, musical and energetic Rapping (or MC-ing) workshops are a way of making Literacy and Poetry interesting to young people. A rapping or MC session will involve the use of rhythm and rhyme, alliteration, metaphor and other techniques. Confidence is subtly developed. Rapping can be used to promote an objective or idea such as anti-bullying and citizenship. We also use rapping to help improve literacy or combine with poetry, or make a music curriculum more interesting. Most often, itβs just a fun activity, suitable for all key stages and teenagers.

Book graffiti art workshopsGraffiti art is really popular at the moment. We have great feedback and a proven track record of success with these. Graffiti art workshops are a great medium through which to get children and young people who would normally snub art, to gain interest in art through this genre. Some graffiti workshops are provided for schools, others for youth centres or for childrenβs and adult events, including corporate events. A CRB checked professional and skilled graffiti art creator will provide a whole range of graffiti workshops. For schools or youth centres, risk assessment can be provided for our graffiti art classes. Delivering to groups of up to 20 + graffiti artists; the graffiti workshop for children or youth (teenagers) is a very popular choice.
break-dancing & street-dance workshopsRight now, break dancing and street dancing have become increasingly popular with young people, more so since the recent exposure from talent shows on reality television. Boys often seem to enjoy the more exuberant break dancing, whereas for girls, street dance seems more to their liking. Itβs fun, invigorating and exciting; enjoyed by boys and girls equally. Street dance workshops are great for team building and performances. Those taking part in street dancing may learn aspects of a routine step by step, which may eventually become one performance piece involving everybody. Confidence and self-esteem are enhanced, and this has been noted in our feedback forms on many occasions. Workshops teach Popping, Locking, Breaking, Up Rock, Floor Work and much more.
music production workshops and courses (6 weeks or 6 x 2hr sessions)This includes learning how to use music production programs such as Acid, Pro-Tools and Reason to make your own songs. Also, we teach people how to record, arrange and mix instrumental and vocal tracks. This is often incorporated in DJ and Rapping / MC programs to make recordings of the participants work. Music production training has been used in academic institutions to encourage young people, otherwise disengaged, to take an interest in learning, and actually look forward to attending. We can do two hour or full day sessions, but the full course is by far the most engaging, as well as extremely popular programme with young people. Over six two hour sessions they write, recite then record their own songs or raps onto a designed compilation CD that they get to keep. Itβs also a useful tool for schools trying to promote music within the curriculum.
