Nugent Education has achieved numerous positive outcomes as a result of their creative community organisations endeavours. Since the organisations nascent stages in 2004, their youth activities along with children's educational workshops, kid's events and after school activities ( more recently, they can offer arts awards that lead to an accredited qualification) , have been employed to engage, educate and develop children and young people in stimulating and inspiring environments.
They have meticulously embodied positive and relevant themes and issues, as well as utilising arts as an aid to learning. Children and teachers / youth workers are consistently giving our service some excellent feedback.
Please take a look at some recent examples of the terrific response that schools and other youth organisations have given Nugent Education, for their after school activities, educational and creative arts workshops and events.

Rapping and revision Workshops’
Feedback from a Wigan extended schools coordinator
“I really enjoyed myself. I was only going to stay for the first half of the session but ended up staying for the full session. Phil was great with the young people and had those eating out of his hand from the word go. He gave a really good explanation of what rapping is and what he expected the young people to accomplish by the end of the session. I was amazed the different songs they came up with, all about 2D and 3D shapes. The teachers thought the session went well and the young people should be able to remember more facts and figures in regards to the topic in question. The teachers recorded the songs and kept the lyrics.”
Susan. E Taylor (Wigan Extended Schools Services): April 2009

Music Production, Street Dance, Graffiti Art workshop programme
Feedback from a Cheshire Children and Young Peoples Service Manager
“In terms of feedback, Ash has been fantastic! As I'm sure you are aware, there have been many changes to the agreed programme and in this time I have also changed roles within the council, so have been unable to commit the time and support that I usually would do. Ash has liaised with other partners in the area to make changes to the programme in order to maximize its impact for our young people.
When things haven't worked, Ash has come up with ideas on how to improve things which has been very welcome and has been extremely flexible with the programme, which has been really appreciated.
The feedback I have received from partners and young people has also been excellent, so I'd like to personally thank Ash, his team and you for providing such a top service for us.
Hope to work with you both in the future. Thanks, once again.”
Paul Hickson (Vale royal Children and Young Peoples Manager): August 2009

Rapping and Literacy project
Feedback from a Cumbria Aim Higher Co-ordinator
“The primary pupils at both schools really enjoyed the workshops and they learned not only about careers and progression, but also there was a reinforcement of literacy issues such as rhyme, metaphor, simile etc etc and some musical principles also.
Phil related well to the children, keeping them all involved and on task. He was firm and friendly, and the pupils obviously enjoyed his
excellent talents as a rapper!
I would like to book Phil again --at this stage in the academic year, I am looking at what monies I have left!”

The gentlemen who delivered the session were brilliant - can you pass my thanks on to them again and let them know how much the children enjoyed themselves.
