Nugent Education Limited now offers bronze and silver ‘Accredited Arts Awards Qualifications’! Participants get the opportunity to learn and enjoy participating in an art form, and gaining a recognised qualification alongside a given creative arts programme.

Arts awards can run alongside:

We have CRB checked, experienced and talented artists, and trained ‘Arts Awards Advisors’ to deliver and teach the programme.

What do learners have to do?

The Bronze Arts Award is a level one qualification, and has one unit – Enjoying the Arts. The award involves taking part in the arts, going to arts events, researching an arts hero or heroine and sharing your skills with others.

The Silver Arts Award has two units –Arts Practice and Arts Leadership. The award involves completing an arts challenge, reviewing arts events, researching arts careers and pathways, and leading arts activities.

For both awards, a record of your achievements are placed in a portfolio, including records of work you have seen and produced, your personal reflections on the process and your own research material. This can be presented in a way that suits you, from a book or folder, to a video diary or website.

What is Arts Award equivalent to?

The Arts Award is a national qualification which recognises how young people develop as artists and arts leaders.

The award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts-related and transferable skills, such as

Creativity, communication, planning and teamwork. Young people aged 11-25 can achieve awards at English National

Qualification Levels 1, 2 and 3

The Arts Award is on the National Qualifications Framework and is accredited by QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Authority).

Trinity College London is the awarding body for the Arts Award and work in close partnership with Arts Council England.
